Our Dazzling Story

The Dazzling Red Hat Darlings began three years ago in December 2004 when my daughter asked me: "Mom, what can I get you for your birthday?
I had read a lot about the Red Hat Society and had a copy of the poem, "Warning," framed. So I said: "Give me a membership to the Red Hat Society."
We logged onto the Red Hat Society website, registered, paid the fee, and instantly I became a queen! What more could you ask for, except to gather some of my dearest friends, ladies with whom I had graduated in 1956. At that time we named our chapter: "Fifties Girls."
During the past three years, we have grown to a much larger chapter with Red Hats and Pink Hats.
We decided to get a fresh start at our anniversary month of December 2007 and changed our name to "Dazzling Red Hat Darlings." We are planning to do lots of fun things with our chapter and, hopefully, interact with other chapters to form new friendships and to have a wonderful hattitude year.
Our mission is to put God first, others next, and lastly, ourselves, and to provide a compassionate and loving atmosphere for everyone. We want to be a shining light in our community.
None of this could be accomplished without the chapterettes and two wonderful vice-queens, Ruth P. and Anna Lee E. and our Computeress of "Net" Communications, Pam C.
