News - Kay Pearson was elected to the Ruritan National Board of Directors It is with excitement and enthusiasm that we announce that Kay Pearson was elected to a 3-year term as National Director of the Ruritan Organization at the 2009 National Convention in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was assigned to the Tennessean and Davy Crockett Districts in East TN for 2009. She has been assigned to the Arkansas Opportunity Land District for 2010. She is on the National Growth and Development Committee. Under her leadership as 2008 District Governor, the Cherokee District grew from 17 clubs to 26 clubs with membership growing from 527 to 915 members. Her goal is to help the Ruritan organization grow and be the best ever community service organization.
