My Hamilton
By Forestine Cook Cole (class of 1968)
Where is the love?
My Hamilton, Oh Hamilton
Full of class, full of sass
You are the future
No more brother against brother
Sisters who walk with pride
No more brother against brother
Sisters with grace at their side
Lift up your heads and use your mind
You have a legacy to show
Lift up your heads and use your mind
Do the unexpected, don’t go with the flow
When you say “I’m a Wildcat!”
People know you are the best
You fight to succeed at everything
Not fall behind with the rest
Hamilton, my Hamilton
Stand up! Step up! Rise up!
With that Wildcat pride
You’re coming back!
Bigger and badder than ever
Get ready, there’s a war going on
We are stepping out of the fog
Every daughter, every son
My Hamilton, Oh Hamilton
You no longer believe the hype
If you are looking for a leader
You are just the type
Young men – get it together!
Young women –get it together!
We can’t wait to see what you will do
Oh Hamilton - proud of the white and the blue!

Inspiration/Humor:
"Seat Warmers"
Sam and Ruth from Maine had just bought a new car when winter hit with all its fury. "I wonder if the car has seat warmers," Ruth wondered.
"It sure does," said Sam, looking through the owner's manual.
"Here it is..........rear defrosters."
"He who sits on a Red-Hot stove shall rise again."
- Rev. W.A. Suggs
"Life is like riding a bicycle; you don't fall off unless you stop pedaling."
- Claude Pepper
"A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit."
