 MOPPETS

MOPPETS are Special!
Your children will be lovingly cared for in our MOPPETS program which is staffed by teachers and volunteers. All childcare workers & volunteers are screened to insure your children's safety. During the MOPS meetings, your child will enjoy carefully planned activities based on their age group. The children are able to grow socially & creatively while interacting with other children. Kids love MOPPETS as much as mothers love MOPS!
MOPPETS Procedures
Sign in your child at the Preschool desk, make any notes for your child on the sign-in sheet, and get a pager.
- Bring and pick up your child at the classroom door.
-
All blankets, diaper bags, coats, etc. must be clearly labeled.
- Bottles brought will be given according to mom's instructions. Please mark all bottles and bring only plastic bottles.
- Provide enough disposable diapers when your child is at MOPS. Also pack a change of clothes in case of accidents.
- Moms, please refrain from checking on your child during our meeting. It is upsetting if they see you; we will contact you if you are needed.
- Due to allergies, please bring a labeled drink cup and a small snack for your child/children. We have some Peanut allergies, so please don't send anything with peanut butter in it. Thanks!
- Pick up your child immediately at the close of each session unless the teacher is notified beforehand. Some children become anxious if she/he is left after other children have gone.
All MOPS members will have a standing reservation in MOPPETS for your children. However, please be courteous and call the MOPPETS director,Rebecca Hay, if you cannont attend a meeting.
Sick Child Guidelines
Please do not bring a child to MOPS who has displayed the following symptoms within the last 24 hours:
1. a temperature of 100 degrees or higher
2. has vomited or has had diarrhea
3. a runny nose with green or yellow mucus
4. has been exposed to a contagious condition (chicken pox, head lice, pink eye, etc.)
Please secure a note from your child's doctor if he/she has a chronic condition such as allergic rhinitis, which is not contagious but may resemble a cold or infection. If your child is being treated for an infection, he/she should be on antibiotics for 24 hours before returning to MOPPETS.
No medication of any kind will be administered by a caregiver. If your child needs a medication, it must be kept and administered when needed by the mom.
Remember the Golden Rule of "Sick Day Decisions"--would you want your child sitting next to another child with the same symptoms...?
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our MOPPETS classrooms a safe & healthy environment. Please direct any further question to our MOPS Coordinator.
