With over 80 colleges on hand including previous NCAA Division One Final Four participants in Connecticut, Duke, Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, Purdue and Tennessee this was as good an event as any on the fall evaluation weekend. The fall evaluation period is always a mix-bagged sample of unsigned seniors and stellar underclassmen. Here are a few standouts from the tournament portion of the event. Quaneisha McCurty - 2011 - 6’ 5” Knoxville Lady Panthers- The first thing that you notice when watching McCurty is her 6’ 5” frame. She is a long athletic post player who uses her size to intimidate smaller players. McCurty is a real shot blocker who blocked a high volume of shots all weekend long. Offensively McCurty is not as far along offensively as she is on the defensive end, but she shows the potential to be a solid post presence. When she can get position and make a clean catch, it normally amounts to a bucket for her team. ********************************************* Event Recap: Peach State All-Southeast Showcase Evaluations, By: Jonathan Hemingway, Keil Anthony Moore and Brandon Clay #100 - Quaneisha McCurty - 2011 Long armed post, tremendous upside at 6'4". Can make back to basket moves, decent form on her jumper to 15 feet. High major Division One prospect. #48 - Shaelyn Brown - 2011 Shooter. Range to 23 feet. Ok athlete, smart with a 25 ACT already. Good overall skill. Low Division One to Division Two/NAIA prospect. #26 - Ashleigh Elliott - Seymour HS/Seymour, TN - 2009 Nice release to her shot, handles with ease and she seems in control on offense. A little small for an off the ball guard at 5'6". Small college prospect. ********************************************* Event Recap: Peach State Position Camp Session II By: Keil Anthony Moore & Brandon Clay #10 - Summer Jackson - 2011 High energy 5'5" point guard who is coming along skill wise. Seemed to get better with each drill. Finished well at the rim in transition. Small college prospect. #59 - Victoria Clemmons - 2011 5'9" undersized post. Works hard, developing skill on both ends. Not a bad finisher under the basket. Small college prospect. ![]() 15U GIRLS, WAR ON THE FLOOR CHAMPS- 16/17U DIVISION; PKI MEMORIAL MADNESS 2nd PLACE
