Minutes of Last Meeting ![]() LAKE TANSI EXCHANGE CLUB REGULAR MEETINGMinutes of the November 6th., 2009 Meeting
For those of you who were not able to come to this morning’s meeting, here is what you missed. At 7:03 a.m. Joyce opened the meeting. SPEAKER: Our speaker this morning was retired Master Sergeant John Rowe. John spoke about “A Soldier’s Experience in Iraq.” He started with a little background of his military career, duty that took him all over the world, culminating with a one year tour in Iraq. John had spent the years after 9-11 traveling and training our troops on how to combat terror, and it was this counter-terror training that he brought to Iraq. John is a devote Christian and he strived to be a Christian leader to the men he lead into combat. John prayed daily for the safety and protection of his troops and he saw those prayers answered time and again in unique and amazing ways. John shared many stories of how he saw the hand of God over and over, protecting our soldiers. John also got the opportunity to share his faith with Christian Iraqis, who were over-come with emotion after meeting a fellow believer; their feeling of isolation is so great in their Muslim country. John’s talk was inspiring and timely, reminding us all this is the month we honor our very worthy veterans. CLUB BUSINESS: One Nation Under God Breakfast – November 14th at the Thunderbird, – Bob Thomas stated everything is proceeding smoothly.
