Programs We Support

Exchange, America's Service Club, is a group of men and women working together to make our communities better places to live through programs of service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities, and its national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse.
Over the past ten years, the Lake Tansi Exchange Club has donated over $200,000 towards the prevention of child abuse and other deserving community oriented programs. The Lake Tansi Exchange Club is proud to have helped programs such as:
- The Holland J. Stephens Center of Livingston Tennessee
Serving 5 counties on the Cumberland Plateau, providing: Crisis intervention, Domestic violence/family violence/child abuse, Family Preservation/Permanency Planning, Parent Education, Parent Support Groups, and other Special Services
Teens Against Drugs
To provide alternative activities for the youth of the community that are fun and drug-free
The House of Hope
Cumberland Children's Center - "House of Hope" is a short-term care facility aiding children forced to endure a toxic, dangerous environment at home due to methamphetamine use and manufacture.
The Avalon Center
Providing:
Sexual Assault Crisis Center
Children's Program (for the smallest victims of violence)
School Violence Prevention Programs (for Kindergarten through 12th Grade)
Abuse Intervention Classes for Perpetrators
Court Advocacy
Professional Counseling
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
To provide a book a month to every registered child in Cumberland County until the child reaches five years of age. This highly successful program has now spread throughout the United States and into Canada.
The Lake Tansi Exchange Club handles all registration for children in Cumberland County.
Community of Character
The Cumberland County community and schools have launched a partnership to involve the community in the Cumberland County school district's character education program.
Community of Character enhances the school's ongoing effort by emphasizing within the community the same character trait students learn about in school.
