It will be Escoffier Classical Cuisine! The five course lunch begins with leek & potato soup, followed by tomatoes Americaine then a sorbet. The main course is Vichy Chicken Saute with carrots. AUGUST 23rd, Wednesday, Red Hats Spa and Gazebo Party. Linda received purple shoelaces as the winner of the frozen T-Shirt contest. She was the first to thaw the T-Shirt and put it on. Murrie was just a few seconds behind her. Everyone made earrings from beads that Barbara made available. Ask Linda to see her “flower earrings”. Thanks to all who participated and made it enjoyable!
AUGUST 7th, Monday, We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at "The Old Town Cafe" in Historic Downtown Sevierville. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife team. Almost all of the fruits, vegetables and herbs are grown locally. Murrie, Betty C, Nan, Barbara, Sandy, and Connie shopped up and down Bruce Street.
JULY 10th Monday, We ordered lunch at Cajun Hillbilly House
located in the C.L.Sharp and Son's Sentry Hardware store in Andersonville,
Route 61. phone-494-8002. We took our lunch to the shelter in Norris and enjoyed our lunch and did what we do best - talk and laugh.
AFTERWARDS: We went to Hammer's in Clinton and shopped for bargains.
For those who would like to visit take 75 north to exit 122 Norris/Clinton. go right at exit on Route 61. Go straight through light crossing 441. Stay straight (about 5 min)-- Passing Hensleys Food on right, passing Andersonville Elementary
School on right. Stay right at the fork. Just after the fork look left and see hardware with gas pumps. If you come to Andersonville Post Office on right, you have gone too far.
Many thanks to Queen Murrie for arranging our outing.
