the only member from Oak Leaf to ever
serve as Supreme Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias
Oak Leaf #49 instituted was July 16, 1888 with 32 charter members.
J. P. Gray was the first Chancellor Commander of Oak Leaf in 1888.
The organization of the Knights of Pythais consists of a Supreme Lodge which has jurisdiction over the entire Order in the United States and Canada. The Grand Lodges have jurisdiction over all lodges with in a particular State,District or Providence. The Subordinate Lodge is the lodge of the individual member of the Order in the Cities, Towns or Villages with the States or Provinces. Oak Leaf Charities we support:

Operation Reach For Foster Children

Michael Dunn Center
Boy Scouts
Numerous local community projects and Individual Needs.
Lodge maintains a Pythian Historical Museum of Pythian paraphernalia and historical records.
Volunteer Temple #1 Pythian Sisters meets at lodge hall every 1st Tuesday of month.
