Whats New In Scouting

March 10th...........Bear & Webelos 1 den meeting 5:30pm

March 13th.........Tigers & Wolf den meeting with pack Workshop for those who needs help

March 17th.........4pm Easter Egg Hunt at the Public Library ages 9 and under. Webelos 2 den have been ask to come and help hide the eggs for the younger kids.

March 17th .......6pm Pack 501 has been invited to come and tour the fire dept. Maze Trailer @ Dover City Hall. Which the Dover City & SCVFS are training with for the month of March. Please come out for this exciting field trip planned .

Spring Break............March 17 thur March 24th

March 24th........ 5:00pm The Pack has been invited to attend a special program at the Public Library on Internet Safety with Officer Kim Wallace. Parents are urged to stay with their child during the talk.

March 27th..........Pack Meeting....weighing in of cars, placing of wheels & axles IF you want to, movie for the kids, go over summer camp informaton for the summer & make sure everyone has a Campership Applications.
march 28th......PINEWOOD DERBY RACE......Doors open @ 5pm.......Supper @ 5;30pm......Race starts @ 6pm.
March 31st......5:30pm Bears,Weblos 1,2 and 3 den have a den meeting with Rick Hickson and working on the READYMAN badge with CPR & First Aid training.DO NOT MISS MEETING.
April 3rd.....Roundtable Meeting 7pm............Youth protection Training 5:30pm.

April 12TH......Stewart County Clean UP Day ( Pack 501 has not picked our location yet)

District News
It's time to plan for Summer Camp. Cub Scout Day Camp 2008
Open to scouts in grades 1st - 5th grade in the fall of 2008
THEME for this year is "Cubs in Space"
Date June 2-6th @ Billy Dunlop Park
times 7:45am to 3;15pm
Early bird fee $50.00 & application due to Connie by April 17th.
After April 25th cost will be $75.00 to attend camp.
Please bring with your scout EACH day .....water bottle, towel, rain gear and a sack lunch that does NOT require refrigeration and make sure scouts name is on everything.
What to wear...shorts or cool pants, t-shirt and tennis shoes (NO SANDALS OR CROCS), Spray with bug spray and sunscreen before leaving from home. On Monday you'll be issued a Cub scout t-shirt to be worn the remainder of the week.
Twilight Camp.....July 21-25tht........times 4:30pm to 9:00pm
Same rules as Day Camp see above.
Now Camps being offered at BOXWELL CAMP:
Cub Scout Resident Camp..... open to scouts attending 1st, 2nd or 3 rd in the Fall of 2008 and are accompanied by mom , dad or leader
Dates you can attend this camp are:
Session 1 .... June 13-15th
Session 2 .... June 20-22
Session 3..... June 27-29
Session 4.... July 11-13
Cost: $58 if paid by June 2nd
$78 if paid after June 1st
$25 per adult regardless of date paid
$25 deposit per scout by March 28th to reserve a slot.
MUST sign in as a pack or den if going.
Another camp being offered this year is the 2008 Webelos Resident Camp
Dates available to attend are:
Session 1 .... June 9-12 Monday 11am -Thursday 10:30am
Session 2....June 16-19 Monday 11am -Thursday 10:30am
Session 3....June 23-26 Monday 11am -Thursday 10:30am
Session 4...July 7-10 Monday 11am -Thursday 10:30am.

I DO HAVE CAMPERSHIPS APPICATIONS TO HAND OUT TO EVERONE IF YOU WANT TO FILL ONE OUT PLEASE GET IT BACK TO ME ASAP WITH YOUR SUMMER CAMP APPLICATION TO ATTEND A CAMP OF YOUR CHOICE.
