SASSY RED HAT LADIES CHAPTER (SITE #1)
Welcome ladies to the official site of Sassy Red Hat Ladies Chapter, ID# 71770, was officially established January 2007. A chapter of the Red Hat Society started by Sue Ellen Cooper and a few of her friends in a tearoom in 1998. Now the Red Hat Society is over one million ladies worldwide! OPEN FOR NEW MEMBERSThe Red Hat Society is helping us discover the child within each of us. We are an dis-organized group of ladies whose main objective is to get together for the purpose of fun and friendship. Sometimes we are serious and sometimes silly, but one thing is certain. WE ALWAYS TAKE OUR SILLINESS SERIOUSLY!

WHO ARE WE? WHAT DO WE DO?
We are the women in the red and pink hats. We are mothers, grandmothers, and daughters of society. Little girls grownup, but they're never too old to play dess-up and have tea parties.
The standard answer to the question, "What do you do?" is...Nothing.
Our main responibility is to have fun! We feel that we all have been so "busy" we deserve a break. Join red-gloved hands and spread the joy and companionship we are finding within and among the chapters.
Not only do we buy items considered too glitzy or too fancy-We actually get to wear them. ACCESSORIZE!!! ACCESSORIZE!!!
All the sparkly over the top clothing: now you not only get to wear it, you are REQUIRED to wear it.
Red speaks of life, excitement, vigor and celebration. Color of passion, roses, lifeblood. To the Chinese red symbolizes happiness.
In theater red is associated with comedy and purple with tradedy. Most of us have had both in our life so we have earned the right to wear them.
Red hats symbolize confidence, self acceptance, joy, pride, and so many things to us. WE SHOULD WEAR ONE AT ALL TIMES.

RED HAT SOCIETY DAY~ April 25th, the first get together of founding chapter was on April 25, 1998. There are usually special gatherings all over the country on this day!
