GREETINGS CHURCH FAMILY

It is my great privilege to be a part of such a wonderful church family.  The longer I am in leadership here in Summertown, the more I see the church as truly a family.
As you know families have many people with many differences but it is the core truth of being a family that enables us to forgive and forget, give grace and mercy and believe the best in one another.  Thank the Lord that love wins out.
I am excited about our newsletter that will keep us all informed about what is happening and where we want to go as a part of this living organism, the Church.  As we all know, but so easily forget, communication is essential in healthy relationships and of course we can all improve in communicating God's love to each other.
As Youth Pastor, I believe in adults communicating and connecting in meaningful relationships with our teenager's.  Our youth don't want you to be "cool" or to know anything about what is "in" or "out".  this is a common lie that the enemy feeds adults.  Youth just want genuine love.  they want to feel like they matter.  With the leadership that God has called me to I want to facilitate a multitude of healthy relationships between our adults and youth as Summertown Baptist.  I believe this newsletter will be another way to encourage this.  Thanks for being a church that loves and cares for the youth.
Read Malachi 4:5-6 and ask the Lord to warm your heart.  Make connections and form relationships with people who are from another generation.  God mad us all to have them for our own personal health.
This church is light years ahead of most because we do such a good job of loving one another.  Let's all strive to do more better. -----------Paul Thompson
