Welcome the Twin Cities Chapter of Attachment Parenting International (API)! There is some information here, but the portal to our community and all our activities is our Yahoo group. Please visit the Yahoo group home page and click the "join this group" button to join our community. The Yahoo group is where you'll find our calendar of events, discussion board and resource data bases.

The mission of API is to educate and support all parents in raising secure, joyful, and empathic children in order to strengthen families and create a more compassionate world. API promotes parenting practices that create strong, healthy emotional bonds between children and their parents. Children can take those bonds with them into their adult lives and share them with their children. Their children can do the same, and a life cycle of compassion and connection is created.

Upcoming Support Group Meetings:

Support meetings happen on 3rd Saturdays from 10:30am to noon in the multi-purpose room of Calvary Church (the old Parenting Oasis), 3901 Chicago Ave S.

Our meetings are family friendly. There is a play area in the same room as the meeting. There is always coffee and tea and generally some snacks and breakfast food for sale - proceeds are used to pay for the meetings space. Please contact TwinCitiesAPI@gmail.com with questions. See you there!

Our Goal

The goal of Twin Cities API is to provide a supportive environment for parents interested in and/or practicing the elements of Attachment Parenting. API support groups provide a means of learning attachment parenting, a place to share ideas and ongoing child rearing concerns, and a safe haven where parents can communicate openly about their choices. We are open to all families interested in AP.
