Welcome the Twin Cities chapter of Attachment Parenting International (API)! There is some information here, but the main portals to our community and all our activities are our Facebook group and our Yahoo group.

The mission of API is to educate and support all parents in raising secure, joyful, and empathic children in order to strengthen families and create a more compassionate world. API promotes parenting practices that create strong, healthy emotional bonds between children and their parents. Children can take those bonds with them into their adult lives and share them with their children. Their children can do the same, and a life cycle of compassion and connection is created.

Upcoming Support Group Meetings:

Support meetings happen are held once a month. Please join the Facebook or Yahoo group (links in the intro at the top of the page) for more information on dates, times & locations. The topics below are the discussion for the second half of the meeting. All meetings start with introductions and an open discussion of whatever topics and or issues attendees raise. Support meetings are open to all parents and caregivers interested in attachment parenting and are a great first event for new community members.

Please contact TwinCitiesAPI@gmail.com with questions. See you there!

Our Goal

The goal of Twin Cities API is to provide a supportive environment for parents interested in and/or practicing the elements of Attachment Parenting. API support groups provide a means of learning attachment parenting, a place to share ideas and ongoing child rearing concerns, and a safe haven where parents can communicate openly about their choices. We are open to all families interested in AP.
