Crew 125 meets every Monday at 6:30 PM at the Woodlawn United Methodist Church on Woodlawn Road. Just across the street from the Post Office.

OUR VENTURING CREW IS LOOKING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE FROM THE AGES OF 13, WHO HAVE GRADUATED THE 8th GRADE AND WHO ARE NOT YET 21 YEARS OF AGE, TO JOIN OUR CREW. IT IS ALOT OF FUN. WE LEARN ABOUT LEADERSHIP SKILLS. SOME OF THE PAST ACTIVITIES WE HAVE DONE IS CAMPOUTS, ROCK CLIMBING, BIKE RIDES, ECT. WE ARE A VERY SMALL GROUP THAT NEEDS TO EXPAND. CREW 125 We have completely reorganized into a "Shooting Sports Crew"

HISTORY
Venturing is for young adults ages 13 through 20 whom, along with adult leaders, are registered with the Boy Scouts of America. The program matches the interests of young adults with adult expertise and resources of the chartered organization and other adults in the community. The program is carried out through a Venturing crew. Its purpose is to provide experiences that will affect the positive development of youth at a critical stage in their lives and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.
Crew 125 was first chartered in 1999 with the 101st Airborne Division Association (Rail Road Chapter) at Ogburn Chappel Road.
Youth members injoyed a variaty of "Outdoor" adventures, which included trips to Boxwell Scout Reservation, Grimes Canoe Base, Paloi Peaks, and an ultimate 10 day trip to the Boundary Waters of Ely Minnisota.

OATH:

As a Venturer, I promise to do my duty to God and help strengthen America, to help others, and to seek truth, fairness, and adventure in our world.

CODE:

As a Venturer, I believe that America's strength lies in our trust in God and in the courage, strength, and traditions of our people.

I will, therefore, be faithful in my religious duties and will maintain a personal sense of honor in my own life.

I will treasure my American heritage and will do all I can to preserve and enrich it.

I will recognize the dignity and worth of all humanity and will use fair play and goodwill in my daily life.

I will acquire the Venturing attitude that seeks truth in all things and adventure on the frontiers of our changing world.
