The winner of the door prize was Claudia. Until next time please stay tuned. Our Janurary the 24th. meeting was held at Susans castle. We celebrated Sandy Staroweskys Birthday. Sandy received a very pretty pair of purple crystal earrings and a red hat brooch. She just loved them. We decided to have Elvis night on this evening and showed our members the dvd of Memories of Elvis during Susans retirement party in Florida. The woman just adored this information we shared with them. The reason we decided to show this wonderful dvd was so we could introduce this idea we came up with to do a Elvis show later this year. Well let me tell you this really went well. So we are now in the process of getting a Red Hat Event happening for all of our sisters later this year. The food we had this evening was just wonderful and we gave our Gracious Hostess Susan the door prize which was a cute Red Hat necklace.
Our February the 13th. meeting was held at O'Charleys. The food was fabulous. We mainly talked about various topics nothing important just a really fun girls night out. The members each received a small box of candy since Valentines Day was the next day. So until our next meeting please stay tuned.

On the 7th. of June Judi Queen Mum and Vice Queen Susan traveled to Nashville for The Fantasia in Red's Event. We arrived early and did a little Red Hat shopping and we both found these wonderful Red Hat shirts from one of the vendors. What a wonderful score we both got a great shirt plus we got the vendor to come strut her stuff at our event that we will have in August. How Perfect! Let me tell you these Ladies really know how to put on a show. That had this great Motown music with three really good singers. We danced to this music and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was really good and the servce was perfect. I'll tell you if you go to Nashville consider going to the Maxwell Millenium House Hotel it is well worth it. During the event they had a parade of Queens which was really nice and they also showed us different fan gestures and what they meant in the Victorian Era. We were lucky enough to also run in to friends from Knoxville Shirley Perry Sharon Massengill, and quite a few ladies they had with them. The time was just another wonderful red hat event
On June 12, 2008 we traveled to Athens Tennessee to meet with a couple of The Fab Fifties Gals to go the Mayfield Dairy Tour. We took our private tour through the dairy and it was really nice. Of course we cut up and took pictures of each other and just had a nice relaxed day. After the tour we entered the ice cream shop and had the most wonderful ice cream on the planet. Afterwards a couple of the ladies purchased some items in the gift shop and we were on our way to lunch but not before we saw this really cute cow and of course had our picture taken on it. We ended up going to the Western Sizzlin for lunch. We talked and laughed before we said our Good Byes. We hope to do something again with those Fab Fifties they were very charming.
On the 19th. of July Judi Queen Genevieve traveled to the Queens Council in Knoxville. The meeting was held at The Golden Corral. The food was average. Memories of Elvis in Chattanooga: On the second of August The Victorian Ladies held Memories of Elvis at the Chattanooga Convention Center. Well let me tell you Red and Pink Hatters started showing up around 11:30AM which over whelmed the vendors that we had. It was a shoppers dream for these ladies. Thanks to Nantiques who really has wonderful merchandise and Gram's Attic for being such great sports. Everyone was very excited about this event. We kicked off the show at 2:00PM. Warm Welcomes came from Queen Genevieve and Vice Queen Susan Baumgardener. Shirley Perry Queen of The Vols was in charge of prayer. She really did a Great job for us. Thanks Shirley we Love you for helping us out. Food was served a Italian Buffet which was really yummy right after prayer because we wanted everyone seated so Elvis could start at 3:00PM He came on in his 50's Garb and these Ladies just went wild. This was a very intense show. We just could not beleive what a wonderful response that we received. After the 50's set we had a half an hour so we gave away lots of door prizes and the ladies had time to purchase items from the Elvis table or do a little more red hat shopping. Boy all the different Red Hat groups were just loving this wonderful time that they were having. Next was 60's Elvis. Chris MacDonald was dressed in a all leather outfit. These ladies just kept going and going dancing, singing, clapping, just having a really good time. Everyone was very resposive to Elvis so this made us very happy. Another 30 minute break was taken so we gave out more door prizes and the ladies were really anticipating the last part of the show. Finally 70's Elvis appeared. He really looked good in a white pair of bell bottoms with a great shirt that matched it was all beaded on the top. Very Charming! What a great success this show turned out to be. We held a 50/50 which gave one of the Red Hat Ladies $279.00 to spend. We also raffled a red hat bag full of kitchen gadgets and a red hat society cookbook. We hope our Red Hat sister Janice Cureton of The Red Hat Calender Girls enjoy's her gifts. Everyone got exactly what they came for a great show good food, wonderful shopping, good picture taking, sisterhood what more could you ask for.
