Our annual fundraisers include:
- Chicken spaghetti luncheon and Silent Auction - Held the first Tuesday in February each year. Members cook chicken spaghetti and serve approximately 500 people each year. New this year will be a silent auction made up of items either donated or procured by members. All of the proceeds from both the meal and the silent auction go to fund the scholarships given to area graduating seniors.
Chicken Taco Soup Dinner and Gun Raffle - To be held the end of September or the beginning of October. The proceeds from this fund raiser will be used to fund the club's Make a Difference Day project.
Ways And Means - Held each month at the business and program meetings. Members having birthdays during that month bring a wrapped present to be raffled off to members and guests. Members who forget to wear their pins or wish to brag about themselves or family members contribute $.25
Altrusan's Kitchen Treasures cookbook - Collection of over 500 recipes contributed by members and selling for only $10 each!
Chamber of Commerce Festival Gates - Each year the club applies to man a gate at the Dogwood Trails and Oktoberfest festivals which are sponsored by the Palestine Chamber of Commerce. When chosen, members man a gate and the club receives a portion of the gate proceeds.
Television Raffle tickets are now on sale! Altrusa International, Inc. of Anderson County is raffling off a Westinghouse 46" LED Television valued at $800. All ticket proceeds will be used for our civic projects in Anderson County. These project include educational scholarships, feeding and clothing the hungry, reducing illiteracy and much much more! valued at approximately $800. The raffle will be held on March 24, 2012. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Contact any club member to purchase tickets.
