LEGION’S NETWORK OF SERVICE OFFICERS
The American Legion maintains a network of approximately 1,700 professional, accredited representatives – known as “service officers” or “department service officers” – who are officially recognized by the VA to provide representation and assistance to veterans and their dependents. The service is provided free of charge, regardless of membership. We are very fortunate at Post 121 for two reasons. First, our post service officer is Bill Mahon, who recently retired as the McLennan County Veterans service officer and is still helping veterans. Second, the VA regional office is located in Waco and a Department service officer (Don Bridschge) is available to answer your inquiries and assist you. Don is a member of our Post and regularly attends our monthly meetings.

At this time: We are unable to send monthly care packages to the troops. Please "DO NOT" bring items for the troops to the monthly meeting any longer. However, if a member of Post/Unit/SAL 121 has an immediate family member serving in harms way, we will send a package to them upon request.
