Vice-Commander Hueske presents Fallen Soldier Memorial plaques to the Family of Danny Kreder II, US Coast Guard

State Representative "Doc" Anderson presented the family with Texas Flags
The American Legion Post & Unit 121, Waco, Texas, located at 3rd & Tennessee, hosted a Fallen Solider Memorial Ceremony, on Monday, January 25, 2010, at 6:30 pm. A meal was served for the family and friends of Petty Officer Danny Kreder II at 6:30 pm with the Memorial Ceremony following. Honored for his sacrifice was: Petty Officer 3rd Class Danny R Kreder II, 22, of Elm Mott, Texas, assigned to the Sacramento, California based U S Coast Guard, who died October 29, 2009, when the C-130 Hercules he was aboard crashed during a search and rescue mission off the coast of California. A Memorial Plaque was presented to the family of Petty Officer Danny Kreder II, by American Legion State of Texas Vice-Commander William (Bill) Hueske followed by a Resolution recognizing Danny's life, presented by American Legion Post 121 Commander Vincent Perez and Unit 121 President Hilde Neumann. Texas Flags were presented to the family by State Representative "Doc" Anderson. Representative "Doc" Anderson spoke briefly, recognizing the young soldier for his accomplishments during his life and in the US Coast Guard. A native of Elm Mott, Texas, Danny is survived by his wife, Victoria (Sovey) Kreder; parents, Jeff and Jodi Woodruff; brothers, Brandon and Cory Kreder;his father Danny Kreder I, grandmother, Pamela Sue Lyle; grandparents, Wayne and Shirley Sovey; and in-laws, Sam and Tracy Sovey. "Petty Officer Danny R Kreder II will be missed by never forgotten." The Fallen Soldier Memorial Plaque Program was invision by charles Boatright, Post 182, of Little Elm, Tx, and he enlisted the American Legion to help in the mission of presenting the memorial plaques to the families of all fallen soldiers from Texas. His vision became a reality, and we continue to honor those who serve, and those who made that ultimate sacrifice defending the freedom of all Americans.
