WELCOME TO THE RED HAT FILLIES
**Offical Red Hat Society Chapter Number 36008**
This is the Web site for The Red Hat Fillies, an official Chapter of the Red Hat Society www.redhatsociety.com . We are a Red Hat group of friends with members throughout the city of Houston and surrounding areas. We are always looking for new and exciting excursions and enjoy meeting other Red Hatters and sharing in their activities. The Fillies meet regularly on the first Thursday of each month for dinner. In addition to the dinners, we help plan and participate in a number of Multi-chapter activities planned well in advance.
These Multi-chapter activities are in conjunction with other Red Hat groups and include senior citizens bus trips and carpooling to points of interest in Houston and surrounding areas. Through these trips we have enjoyed meeting many other Red Hat ladies and making new friends. We welcome ideas for future excursions and activities.
Membership in the Red Hat Fillies is by invitation only, and currently our Chapter is closed to new members. To read our Chapter Guidelines, please visit Queen's Corner.

November 18, 2009
On Wednesday, November 18th the Multi-Chapter Travel Group has a special treat in store as we visit the Haak Winery in Santa Fe, TX. We will enjoy a free tour and tasting followed by lunch at the winery. The trip, including tax and gratuity, and bus monetary fund will be $18.15. The lunch will be prepared by the winery's own chef. We will then go to Froberg's Vegetable and Fruit Market to shop for fresh produce to take home with us. Follow instructions on your invitation or contact me at sjaynes50@yahoo.com. There are still a few openings for this trip, so act soon and join us for what promises to be a very pleasant day.
December 7, 2009
On Monday, December 7th, 2009, the Multi-Chapter Travel Group will journey up north to shop at Sam Moon's followed by a short trip to The Woodlands for more shopping and dinner at Landry's Seafood. We will then go on a Water Taxi ride, for a nominal charge, and enjoy the Christmas lights and water fountain displays. Set aside this particular Monday for Christmas shopping and celebration of the holiday season with the Multi-Chapter Travel Group.

On Friday, December 11, 2009, the Fillies will again have our Annual Christmas Party at Barbara K.'s home. Festivities will start at 7:00 p.m. Our tradition works so well - why change? Attendees will enjoy a delicious dinner by bringing dishes complementing the ham prepared by Barbara. We will enjoy our Dirty Santa game as we always do - maybe with a little less "sparks" than last year!? (You had to have been there.) Fillies, make plans to enjoy our Annual Christmas Party by setting aside Friday, December 11th.
