Pastor Ron Shultz
Pastor Ron came here after being the Associate Pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, Mesquite, TX for ten years.

He is retired from the Army Reserves. He also served in the US Air Force and the Navy. He recently retired from the Veterans Administration where he held positions in Purchasing and Contracting, Medical Administration and Information Technology.

He has authored two books. He and his wife were married Dec 24, 1970. They have two children and six grandchildren.

Welcome

This is Pastor Ron of Bible Baptist Church in La Grange, TX.

At BBC, it is our heart’s desire that God would speak to us through His Word and the Word of God is preeminent in the teaching here. Come visit us! May we hear His Word and then serve together!

Folks sometimes wonder who is welcome in any given church. I am hoping the Lord gives us some new believers, some backslidden believers, hurt believers and the folks no one else wants or they do not feel at home or welcome elsewhere. I reckon in a town the size of La Grange there ought to be at least a tenth of the town in one of those categories. Not in one of those? Well, C’mon anyway! We’ll save a seat for you. There is a really good chance you can be a blessing to someone and there will be a blessing for you!

So y’all come see us at the Church. You might even like me. I am a just a sinner saved by grace working on helping other folks to find that grace for themselves. I came here to serve and I’d be pleased to meet you and see what the Lord can do for you through Bible Baptist!

Rewriting or ignoring sound doctrine does not achieve the fruits of the Spirit in Galatians. They come about because we are knowledgeable of and obedient to sound doctrine. This is why I have felt called as a polemicist rather than an apologist. If the Church is not sound in doctrine or sound but disobedient they cannot have the proper relationship with Christ that can boldly deliver a powerful apologetic that will put to silence the naysayers, put fear in the rebellious and bring in the lost sheep with love. That is why we are truly so ineffective in fighting the culture war. We want to join them, appeal to them, and above all else never offend them. That kind of watered down apologetic and Gospel will not bring in a true harvest. It is sickly seed sown in shallow ground and it will bring about a sallow crop of baptism soaked sinners that are tares for the most part and sickly saints at best.
