June 19: Alley Theatre - Boeing-Boeing - Dana The high-flying, Tony award-winning comedy that had London and Broadway audiences airborne with laughter, is taking off on the Alley’s Hubbard Stage. Bernard, a successful American architect living in a posh Paris apartment, has been deftly juggling three fiancées who are all flight attendants. It’s easy, with good timing and a bit of assistance from his reluctant housekeeper who plays romantic air-traffic controller. But, this supersonic lifestyle hits turbulence when his old college friend visits and each of his three fiancées change their flight schedule. Boeing-Boeing is called “the funniest play to hit Broadway in ages” (Wall Street Journal), “pure pleasure and unconditional bliss” (New York Times). Fasten your seat belt for a roaring ride that will take you up, up and away. Recommended for mature audiences because of subject matter. May 15: Carol picked Tea for Two Tearoom for us to go to. January 21: We seemed to unanimously agree that we liked the Blue Plate Bistro on Post Oak. They advertise themselves as: quick comfort food in a casual setting. The table that we had was away from the other patrons. So we could all hear each other talking and we didn’t have to be concerned about bothering other people. So it gave everyone a lot to pick from and we did seem to get quite a sampling of all their different items. 2005 Events December 17: "Annual Dirty Santa Gift Exchange" Everyone got into the spirit of things by actively stealing the presents. A number of the ladies took the opportunity to steal mine. I opened 4 or 5 different presents….and, the very nerve of them….they kept stealing them from me.
