Since 1917, local Lions clubs have offered people just like you the opportunity to give something back to our communities. From involving members in projects as local as cleaning up an area park or as far-reaching as bringing sight to the world's blind. Lions clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community.
Our programs are ever evolving to meet new needs and greater demands, but our mission has never wavered: "WE SERVE."
It's great to be part of the Cut and Shoot Family Lions Club with the emphasis being on family. We are part of the world's premier community service organization, with 1.4 million members. We are one of more than 46, 000 clubs in 193 countries and geographic areas.
Cut & Shoot Family Lions Club was chartered on March 8, 1985. The Panorama Lions Club was our sponsor. As of 2006 there are three Charter members still involved with the club. They are Lions: PDG Harry Goetzman, Oscar Schank,and Ron Hedgecock. When the Club was first chartered the name was Cut & Shoot Lions Club, but was later changed to include "Family" because our Club is Family. We have several children who attend with parents or grandparents and we have added the Cut & Shoot Family "Cub Club" to include them. They have their own vest and help in ways special to them and us.
Membership is by invitation, but if you are interested in visiting our Club and possibly becoming a member, please click on one of the members listed (on far left of page), send an email and get ready to attend an exciting, fun meeting.
Our Club is proud to present 7 scholarships to Caney Creek HS Seniors, 3 of which are for 1st place winners in our Diabetic Essay, Drug Awareness and Outstanding Youth Contests. Applications are available through the Career Center at Caney Creek HS or Lions. The remaining 4 scholarships are awarded to selected students who apply through the Scholarship Program.
