Part of DFW FRUA’s mission is to raise funds for humanitarian aid for orphaned children through various fundraisers, donations received from members and assistance from National FRUA’s matching grant program.  Through our partnerships with Buckner Orphan Care and Orphan Outreach we have been able to help fund the following orphanage support projects.

v    Furniture for newly renovated area for the AIDS babies of the Lomonosov Baby Home in St. Petersburg, Russia 2008

v    Diapers for Orphanage #47 in St. Petersburg, Russia 2006

v    Foster Care Program sponsoring four children in Romania 2006

v    Sewing Room and Learning Kitchen at orphanage in Makeevka, Ukraine 2005

v    Playground at orphanage in Veritsa, Russia 2005

v    Commercial stove purchased for Hospital 15, St. Petersburg, Russia 2005

v    Shoes donated by members to Buckner’s Shoes for Orphan Souls Program

v    Grow bags containing clothing, medicines, hygiene items and toys delivered by members to orphanages
