DFW FRUA Sponsored Events
Due to impending inclement weather from Hurricane Ike, the Sandy Lake Park outing on September 13 was cancelled. If you prepaid for tickets a refund check will be mailed to your home.

National FRUA is coming to DFW. They will be hosting their next annual conference in Fort Worth, Texas at Texas Christian University on April 17 & 18, 2009. National already has several prestigious speakers lined up and are busy planning the conference. We will post more details about the conference as soon as they become available.

Lake Pointe Church Adoption & Foster Care Conference
Saturday, November 8 from 8am - 3pm
Rockwall, Texas
If you’ve been considering adoption, then this conference is the perfect opportunity for you to connect with people, resources and organizations who will encourage you and help you in your adoption journey. Garage Sale Update
The May garage sale, graciously hosted by Ellen Allam in her new home, raised $1,104.21. Once again, we met our goal for fundraising. Thanks Ellen, and all who helped!
DFW FRUA maintains a stock of cultural and adoption books, ornaments, jewelry and candle holders. New inventory is frequently added so it’s a good idea to check the fundraising table regularly. Matryoshka sleep shirts are still available. These shirts are made from 100% luxurious pima cotton, and are sized S (4-6), M (8-10), L (10-12) and XL (12-14). The shirts are priced at $25 each. Membership Information
Members join the national FRUA organization and check the local Dallas/Fort Worth chapter on their application. National FRUA is a completely volunteer-operated support network, 501(c)(3)non-profit organization. Membership funds go to orphanage support, telephone, postage, newsletter publication, and other outreach activities such as this website. If you are interested in joining or wish to receive a one-time
