“DFW Sporting Dog Tournament"
is a non-association working canine event that has been composed to evaluate a personal protection dog and his/her training. Personal protection (PP) dogs and handlers in this event will be scored on different levels of test, and will get a honest evaluation on their training program. The basics fundamentals of a PP dog will be tested; including social ability, environmentals, & controlled aggression.
DFW Sporting Dog is open to all breeds, ages and levels of training. Therefore puppies, green dogs, and seasoned veteran PP dogs are invited. This is just a mere social event to get local Dallas/Ft Worth working dog trainers a chance to compete, socialize, and build a network amongst other canine fanciers.
Proceeds from this event will go toward our Personal Protection/Sportdog Clinic in the Fall season & http://www.endangeredbreedsassociation.org/
We are trying to promote responsible Pet Ownership in the DFW Metroplex, especially in the inner city. We know that animal abuse is at an all time high, so dog social events are needed to raise awareness about this ongoing problem. This event will show the public the benefits of having a professionally trained dog.
Education and knowledge about animal cruelty and animal rights are the key to ensure a certain future for our pets. Important information on Breed Specific Legislation will be available.

Equipment Vendors needed!Handlers will be responsible for the conduct of their dogs at all times. All dogs must be crated except for the performing dog. SPECTATORS PLEASE READ! ONLY COMPETITION DOGS are allowed at the arena. NO public pets please.
