    ADVANCED PROTECTION SCENARIOS
The maximum attainable score on each of the Protection Scenarios is 50 points. Each Protection Scenario will be scored as follows:

*Control before Attack: 5 points

*Strike/Grip: 20 points

*Ability of Dog to Control Decoy(s: 10 points

*Dog’s Release: 10 points (-5 points per out)

*Control after Release 5 points

    Scenario #1:
Car Jacking- Description of Exercise: Upon command o f the Stewards, the K-9 team will enter a designated vehicle. A staggering loud decoy approaches the passenger side of vehicle. Handler must alert K9 and command the dog to attack when the decoy tries to enter the vehicle. After a sufficient duration of the fight between the Decoy and dog (approximately 8 seconds), the Steward will signal for the Handler to command the dog to release the Decoy. The decoy retreats, the K-9/Team exits the vehicle.
    Scenario #2
The Unfriendly Stranger Attack (One Decoy) Description of Exercise: Upon command of the Steward, the Handler will heel their dog onto the field and to the designated starting point. The decoy comes out & shout offensive slurs and waves a knife/or gun at the K-9 team from approximately 20 yards. You must immediately command your dog to attack. After a sufficient duration of the fight between the Decoy and dog (approximately 8 seconds), the Steward will signal for the Handler to command the dog to release the Decoy. The Handler may either command the dog to return from, or to Guard the Decoy. In either case, recall or guard, the Steward will then signal the Handler to heel the dog to the next exercise.
    Scenario# 3
– Defense of handler (One decoy) Description of Exercise: Upon command of the Steward, the handler will heel their dog onto the field and to the designated starting point. A decoy will be hiding, as you heel pass by the hidden decoy, the decoy will aggressively assault the K9 team. You immediately command your dog to attack. After a sufficient duration of the fight between the Decoy and dog (approximately 8 seconds), the Steward will signal for the Handler to command the dog to release the Decoy. The Handler may either command the dog to return from, or to Guard the Decoy In either case, recall or guard, the Steward will then signal the Handler to heel the dog to the next exercise.
    Scenario #4
– Dual Attack on Handler (Two Decoys) Description of Exercise: Upon command of the Steward, the Handler will heel their dog onto the field and to the designated starting point. Upon command of the Steward, the Handler and dog will heel through the area designated for the Exercise. The first Decoy will come from hiding and threaten the Handler. The Handler will then command the dog to engage this Decoy. The second Decoy will then approach and attempt to attack the Handler. On command of the Handler, the dog is to disengage from the first Decoy and engage the second Decoy. After a sufficient duration of the fight between the second Decoy and dog (approximately 8 seconds), the Steward will signal for the Handler to command the dog to release the Decoy. The Handler may either command the dog to return from, or to Guard the Decoy. In either case, recall or guard, the Steward will then signal the Handler to heel the dog off the field to end the exercise.
    Scenario #5
– SURPRISE (ONE DECOY)!!!!!!!
