*Control before Attack: 5 points *Strike/Grip: 20 points *Ability of Dog to Control Decoy(s: 10 points *Dog’s Release: 10 points (-5 points per out) *Control after Release 5 points SCENARIO #1 Personal Protection Scenario - Attack at ATM – Requirements: Vehicle, simulated ATM (large box, hay bales, etc.), concealment device (blind, 2nd vehicle, etc.) and one (1) suited decoy. Setup: The vehicle is parked on the trial field with all doors closed and all windows up. The ATM is positioned five (5) feet in front of and ten (10) feet to the left (on driver side) of the vehicle. The concealment device is placed is positioned five (5) feet in front of and ten (10) feet to the right (on passenger side) of the vehicle. The dog will be wearing only a flat, buckle type collar and be on a four to six foot lead. Exercise: At the direction of the Ring Steward, the Handler/Dog team will enter the vehicle. The Handler will then close the driver’s door and leave the dog’s lead on its collar. When signaled by the Ring Steward, the Handler will exit the vehicle, close the door (window are down)and leave dog in the vehicle, and proceed to the ATM. After facing the ATM for approximately ten (10) seconds, the Decoy will rush from the concealment device and attempt to attack the Handler. The Dog should then exit the vehicle and either prevent the attack or stop the attack in progress. The dog may act either on command or at its own digression. After a fight of approximately eight (8) seconds, the Decoy will freeze, the Handler will then grab the leash, collect his dog, heel away, reenter the vehicle and close the door. The Ring Steward will then declare the exercise finished.
