Greetings in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

As the season to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ approached I'm reminded of the importance of an old saying, "Jesus is the reason for the season". If we can all remember the goodness the Lord has given us and especially, His love for us.

It is always good to stop and thank God for the enjoyment of family and the reuniting with loved ones.

My prayer for you is that you grow closer to Christ. Also, I pray that we let our light shine so that all may see the mighty power of our Lord.

Rev. Leonard Spurling

Rev. Leonard Oliver Spurling has been in the ministry for 16 years. He is originally from Dallas, Texas but currently resides in Tyler, Texas. Rev. Spurling is a 1987 graduate of Texas College and is employed as a Sheriff Deputy.

Rev. Spurling has many talents but he is an especially gifted singer. He sings in East Chapel's Male Chorus and Gospel Choir.

Rev. Spurling is married to Sherlon Young-Spurling.They have three children; Austin, Bethany and Hannah.
