It is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who
are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade
blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers."

It is also our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested
individuals and groups in local communities for the benefit of children.

Statistics:

Project Linus has 405 chapters throughout the United States which have donated 3,005,973 blankets to children
in crisis since 1995. Our El Paso Chapter has been active since July 2002. We have given blankets to 12,234 children
in our community.

THANKS

We would like to thank Kathy for her 7 years as coordinator of the El Paso Chapter. She has done a Super job.
Many times beyond the call of duty.

We welcome Annette as our new coordinator. She and her committee will ensure that our Chapter continues to
supply blankets to those who need them.

For information, contact Annette at 474-2845 or email: twooters@elp.rr.com
Our next meeting will be Saturday February 6th at 9:30 a.m.

Meetings:

El Paso Project Linus meets the first Saturday of each month (except December) at University Presbyterian Church,
244 Resler Drive in West El Paso.

Our meetings start at 9:30 A.M. and are usually finished by noon.

We work on blankets at the meeting as well as share ideas, teach techniques and skills. Bring whatever blanket project you are working on. If you're a quilter bring your machine and usual supplies. If you knit or crochet, bring your project along. If you want to learn to make blankets for Project Linus, we can teach you.

Newcomers are always welcome.

Message from our Founding Coordinator, Kathy

El Paso Project Linus is a great group of volunteers who share in the desire to comfort children in crisis. We pool our
talents and resources to create blankets for children in our community.

We enjoy the fellowship of being together, learning together and helping El Paso's precious children who are suffering
with illness or because of the situation they find themselves in. There's nothing like a blanket "hug" to comfort you.

Please feel free to come and join us.
