|Welcome to the East Texas District Website|
|Back on the Internet !! This temporary website gets us back on the Internet after having lost our old "www.etffma.org" domain name.
Appearently, and completely unknown to us, the registration of our original Domain Name that we've held since 1998 had expired. Our domain registration was for ten years, but evidentally there was a technical glitch...
Along comes these neat automated Internet surfing software packages to scoop it up and then a "ghost company" holds it ransome for $1000.00 in hopes of our desperate attempts to purchase it back. NOT !!
So, a temporary new Internet home it is!!
E-mail us at: EastTxDistrict@aol.com

December 3 & 4, 2011:
The Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) is a member of The Texas A&M University System.
TEEX's Emergency Services Training Institute (ESTI) is the NFA-recognized State Fire Training agency for the State of Texas. ESTI conducts over 150 NFA Field and Direct Delivery programs each year to departments across Texas.
National Fire Adcademy Courses:
NFA course deliveries are coordinated through the ESTI Extension program and are taught in various locations throughout the year. For many of the courses, the curriculum and course length may be adjusted to meet client needs. Over 90,000 hours of training occurs annually through the Extension program.
For a complete listing of upcoming Extension / NFA / Area Schools, please view the The Course Schedule PDF file.
If you would like to receive new Extension Course Schedules or Area School Brochures by e-mail, please contact Ashley Kelly at (979) 458-2270 or e-mail Ashley.Kelly@TEEXmail.tamu.edu and she will add you to the list.
Area Schools are conducted in conjunction with local fire departments. In most cases, the local fire department provides the necessary facilities and equipment while the fire department and guest instructors conduct the course. Area Schools specialize in a variety of subjects such as firefighting, rescue, hazardous materials, officer-leadership development, fire prevention and others. Programs conducted in the Area Schools provide emergency service personnel and departments the opportunity to keep abreast of new developments and gain experience in various subjects in their local area.
For more information about registration, clothing requirements, meals, housing and check-in, please visit, Area Schools Page and see the appropriate PDF file for the specific Area School in which you are interested.
