Remote Control Entry GateMost residents prefer to have a remote control transmitter to open the entry gate. Not all garage door remotes are compatible with our front gate. The receiver on the gate is a Lift-Master Model 420LM, which is a CGI (Chamberlain Group) billion fixed-code 390MHz receiver. It is compatible with remotes that can be programmed with DIP switches or programmed through a “learn” function. It is not compatible with rolling-code transmitters. If you have a Lift-Master Security+ (rolling code) operator on your garage door, I recommend a Lift-Master 972LM two-button remote or Lift-Master 974LM four-button remote. These models have one fixed-code button that can be programmed for the front gate. Note: The
Lift-Master 973LM three-button remote does not have a fixed-code button. If your garage door operator is not a Lift-Master brand, it may still be possible to program your remote to operate the front gate. If not, you can buy a Lift-Master 81LM single-button remote that can be programmed for the front gate. Entry CodeThe keypad on the panel on the left as one approaches the gate controls the entry gate opener. To open the gate, press the “#” key and then dial the 4-digit entry code provided to residents. If a resident has a special need, a temporary code can be arranged. For example, if a resident is having a party, a temporary code can be sent with invitations to allow guests access on that specific night. Calling a Resident for EntryGuests gain entry to our neighborhood by calling a resident from the gate control panel. A guest presses the “A” and “Z” buttons to scroll through a list of resident’s names. When the correct name is displayed, the guest presses the “CALL” button, which calls the resident’s phone. The resident grants the guest entry by pressing “9”. Some newer phones have a preset short key tone and “9” must be pressed twice. When the control panel receives the signal, it will hang up and open the gate. Exit GateThe exit gate opens automatically when a car pulls up to it. Pedestrian GateThe pedestrian gate, located on the sidewalk next to the exit auto gate, is locked at all times. If you would like a key, please contact a boardmember. |
