Can you read your house number from the street???

It is very important for emergency personnel to be able to read your house number in case of an emergency. We all have a house number on our house and many have one painted on the curb. In the interest of safety, please look at your house and make sure you can see your house number. Emergency personnel prefer the street number on the curb for address identification.

TIME TO MAKE LANDSCAPING CHANGES ?

Any major changes to landscaping and the addition of any ornamental items to the yard need approval from the HOA. These changes and additions include patio covers, pools, decks, storage sheds, play equipment, etc...

For a copy of the Home Improvement form, call Crest Management at 281-579-0761.

Time for Home Improvements! Spring is here and now is the time to spruce up your home. Small repairs can turn into big ones if neglected. Walk around the outside of your home and inspect sofits, fascia and don’t forget the fireplace. You may only need a little pressure washing or it might be that you need a full painting. If you do it yourself or hire it out, do a little homework! Research rental costs as opposed to purchase costs. If hiring out, obtain several quotes and make comparisons.

YARD OF THE MONTH

Once again it is time for us to get out and get our yards in shape for the spring season. Time to plant some color and trim up the yards. One of the goals of Heritage Square is to enhance the natural beauty of the properties and its environment; thus was born the “Yard of the Month” award. Each and every yard is considered for the monthly award. The committee's decision is always a difficult one. We have so many outstanding yards, each with its own uniqueness.
Decisions are based on the following criteria:
1.Overall appearance, tidiness and neatness of the property as evidenced by:
pruned, trimmed and shaped plants
lawns, borders and flower beds edged and defined
healthy and disease-free foliage
2. Color and aesthetic appeal from the curb.
3. Variety of plants and flowers used in the yard.
4. Other factors include choice and use of plants and finishing touches.
The general appearance should give the lasting impression that good planning, care and effort have been put into the property. We welcome your suggestions and input to this process.

Each Month (May – September AND Holiday judging in December), the winner will be awarded a gift certificate from the Home Owner’s Association to show appreciation for the homeowners continued efforts in keeping our neighborhood beautiful and our property values up.
