Mission Statement................
To reinvent childhood dress-up as we knew it with our girlfriends. To be dysfunctional, disorganized and in disarray in the eyes of our peers while experiencing a genuine enthusiasm for the adventures that lie ahead. We are ambitious, strong, professional, caring women who come together in any given moment of time to cry, laugh, love and embrace the bonds that tie us together in our Red Hat sisterhood.
* To poke fun at those of us who take life too seriously 364 out of 365 days a year
* To make regal the red brim and purple frock of their own choosing
* To plan and execute together excursions of which we only dream
* To combine and force our collective strength, talents, initiatives

WHY DO WE DO WHAT WE DO? ~

Have you been approached while dressed in full regalia just to be asked, “What’s the point… why do you do what you do?” I would like to share several “points” with you~ • Because we can! • Fun, friendship, and frivolity… and food! Does there need to be a point? • To take life less seriously…to put more “fun” into the journey… • Everyone needs more laughter and friendships! • A wolf howls to find her pack~ a fun-loving Red Hat Sister dresses up in red and purple for the same reason!

We believe silliness is the comedy relief of life, and since we are all in it together, we might as well join red-gloved hands and go for the gusto together. Underneath the frivolity, we share a bond of affection, forged by common life experiences and a genuine enthusiasm for wherever life takes us next."

1. Accept reality and live in the here and now. Don’t be bothered with “what-ifs” or regrets~ they interfere with fun!
2. Accentuate the positive. Always choose to find the good in any situation you face. Develop your laugh lines rather than frown lines.
3. Nurture yourself. Listen to yourself and provide for your own needs. When you need a break, take one!
4. Indulge your sense of humor. Heartily appreciate the value of laughter.
5. Play! Either never grow up all the way or regress. In either event, know how to have a great time!
6. Dress up! Embellish whatever you wear with glitz, glitter, and glam!
7. Cultivate an openness to new things. Be willing to try almost anything.
8. Express your creativity. Think “outside the hatbox.”
9. Exercise compassion. Learn to laugh with others and to cry with others.
10. Have courage! Know you are up to the challenge of whatever may come.
+ + + Make up for the sobriety of your youth! Many of us were dutiful in our younger years, and now we have a lot of “quirky stuff” that needs to be done!
~~Remember, life is a daring adventure… let it begin again at 40 or 140!~

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body; but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming… “Wow, what a ride!”
