COMMITTEE/BOARD NEWS UPDATES
 
As of May 01, 2010, all IWRA committees and boards are to be disbanded due to the dissolution of the International Water Rocket Association.

01.02.2010, President shelves Peer-Review Board for 2010.

Due to the 2010 election cycle not electing officers for the offices of Vice President or Secretary for 2010. The president-elect has reorganized the standing committees which will move all duties of the Peer-Review Board (PRB) to the President's Council for 2010. Once again, the Election Committee will be shelved for 2010 but with plans to reorganize and expand its duties in the near future.

The 2009 Peer-Review Board (PRB) members are being asked to stay on but will become part of the President's Council for 2010. By combining both groups the president's office will still need at less one additional member for the council for voting purposes. The announcement of the additional member is expected soon along with the publication of the official committee assignment roster for 2010.



11.16.2009, President's Council (PC) to provide oversight of the 2009 election cycle.

Due to the vacancy of the Office of Secretary-2009, the IWRA President has asked the President's Council (PC) members to provide oversight for the election that is scheduled between December 18-31, 2009. The President Office will collect names of nominees, prepare the official nominees list and conduct the voting process according to the election rules set out within the association constitution.

Since 2007, the IWRA has promoted the safe sport of water rocketry world wide. During this time the association has developed a comprehensive water rocket safety code, competition recognition guideline and peer-review process that will allow for record achievement recognition by the association for members and non-members, Developed an high pressure safety guidelines and other measures that will make the IWRA the main depository for the water rocket community worldwide.

As you browse the web site, feel free to contact us for any information that we can assist you with. Water rocketry is a family and educational sport enjoyed by thousands enthusiasts worldwide. To serve all water rocketeers worldwide, the association is an internet based organization that lets as many opinions related to the sport to be heard.
