 * New member pics and action photos updated* The JVFD has recently purrchased a 1000 gal tanker/ pumper fire apparatus we should have it up and running soon This unit will help with structure fires and large grass fires. Currently the Department has updated its gear and equipment we have a new 2008 fire truck. We as well are working on grants for a larger tanker and more equipment. |

2008 Firefighter of the year.. The Joy VFD firefighter of the year was Cameron Hughes. He has been an outstanding member of our department,,for 5 years with his dedication and willing to help.Cameron is now serving our country in Basra, He currentley got leave and let us know if we needed him let him know. He is a valued member of our department and honors us and the american people by serving his community and country. He was a candidate for the West Texas FFMA district firefighter of the year.
