

 * New member pics and action photos updated* The JVFD has recently purrchased a 1000 gal tanker/ pumper fire apparatus we should have it up and running soon This unit will help with structure fires and large grass fires. Currently the Department has updated its gear and equipment we have a new 2008 fire truck. We as well are working on grants for a larger tanker and more equipment. |

EMS =18 (2 was canceled enroute)WILDLAND FIRES=15 STRUCTURE/OUT BUILDINGS FIRES=1 VEHICLE FIRES=1 TRAINING/CONTROLBURN=4 SEARCH=1STATS 11 of these calls were mutual-aid to other departments. Acrerage lost was over 350. The JVFD only lost 20 acres in our area. The JVFD used the services of AIR EVAC one time in 07.Average response time from station to scene was 8 minutes.The JVFD had an average of 4 firefighters per response. On EMS calls EMTs were on scene with BLS services for 15 calls First responders responded the 3 other EMS calls.
TRAINING REPORT FOR 2007
The JVFD members acquired over 200 hours in training. They attended schools in Wichita Falls, Mineral Wells, Weathorford, Tarrant CO. College, as well as county and Local classes.
The JVFD now has 3 state certified Instructors and 2 Certified firefighters.
