General Class Preparation - Code Training

General Class Study Sessions

Frank Schalles, AF5KV, is leading study sessions to prepare 'Techs' and prospective amateur radio operators for the General Class License examination. The sessions start at 7 pm every Tuesday night at the Stidham Memorial Clubhouse. For more information you can contact Frank at fschalles~at~mylubbock.us.

Code Training

Dr. Boyd has graciously agreed to give Morse code classes again. The idea is that we can learn the code at the clubhouse and send to each other, without going over the air. We plan to get a list of components necessary to build Morse Code Oscillators, and then build them at the club, to use for Morse code practice. For more information you can contact Bob at wa5vsk~at~gmail.com.

These training sessions will do several things for the club members, and friends. It will help Techs pass the General Test, it will help with kit building skills, and it will help with Morse code proficiency. Make plans to be at the clubhouse each Tuesday evening at about 7:30 for these classes.
