Konnecting Kids with their Kommunity!

K-9 Konnection was founded February of 2003. The pup in the picture is our Mascot "Little Girl" when she was a baby. She is an Old English Mastiff. Little Girl is now five months old and weighs 53 pounds. When she is grown she will weigh 200 pounds or more.

K-9 Konnection's goal is to take children Junior High and High School age and teach them to train their dogs in obedience. Once they receive their certification in obedience we will take the Junior handlers and their dogs into area Nursing Homes, Cancer Centers and Day Care Centers to name a few. (At this time we are in desperate need of donations. If you are interested in making a donation please send it to the address below.)

K-9 Drive Auction a Success!

Due to the help of many citizens of Bells and the generous donations of our citizens and area merchants the K-9 Drive raised $1453.00 to go towards the purchase of the K-9 Unit. A special thanks goes to David & Dianna Whitlock and Jerri Lynn Bateman for donating their time to help make the auction a success. Thank you to everyone!

What else are we Doing?

After finishing beginner, intermediate and advanced obedience. The handlers will have an opportunity to take their dogs through additional training courses such as agility, tracking, therapy, herding and more.

  Don't Forget Homework!

Work with your dog 10-15 minutes everyday. Patience and persistence pays off.

Obedience classes every Monday from 7-8pm at the High School Ag Barn.

Upcoming Events

Since we are a non-profit organization that is just getting started we must find ways to keep this program running financially.

We are planning a Garage Sale in the next few weeks. If you have anything you would like to donate please let us know.

Starting in August there will not be any classes held. We will only be going into facilities.

  On Our Way to Success

The organization is already being recognized by some National Groups such as CKC (Continental Kennel Club)this organization is currently working on some outstanding scholorships for our graduating seniors for the year 2004 to the K-9 Handlers Academy in Louisiana. This academy teaches K-9 units for law enforcement agencies and the military.
