The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.
- To unite women educators of the world in a genuine spiritual fellowship
- To honor women who have given or who evidence a potential for distinctive service in any field of education
- To advance the professional interest and position of women in education
- To initiate, endorse, and support desirable legislation or other suitable endeavors in the interest of education and of women educators
- To endow scholarships to aid outstanding women educators in pursuing graduate study and to grant fellowships to women educators from other countries
- To stimulate the personal and professional growth of members and to encourage their participation in appropriate programs of action
- To inform the members of current economic, social, political and educational issues so that they may participate effectively in a world society

International Communications Committee has given the challenge to “Create a Buzz!” Creating a buzz is a short explanation that describes the Delta Kappa Gamma Society. It is being referred to as an “elevator speech.” Just enough time to tell someone about the Society and pique their interests. Let‛s put one together. You may write it down on paper, email me, and we can talk about it at our April meeting. --Suzan Watson
Please note that dues for 2009-2010 will be $80 for Active Members and $28 for Reserve Members. Active Members may pay in full, make 2 payments of $40, or make 4 payments of $20. You may begin paying dues as early as the April meeting. Dues are to be paid in full by October 31, 2009.
