 Meet the Professors

Expertise: Old and Middle English, Old Norse literature, and also law and medieval literature. I spend most of my research time in those areas.
"I teach all over the map--medieval literature (Chaucer, medieval women's literature), mythology, Shakespeare, and I've also inherited our Restoration and 18th c. British Literature and Victorian British lit. teaching duties.
I got my PhD from Rice in 1992 (dissertation was on legal issues in Beowulf), and I also have a law degree from U of H that I got in 1984. Undergrad BA in English from the University of Oklahoma, 1981."
