We need people who are willing to share ideas for fundraisers and friendly competitions related to literature to help the club grow and prosper as student organization as well as have some fun.
We also need members to help with chalkings, passing out and posting fliers, bake sales, raffles, competitions, and the monthly newsletters.

The Literature Club has instituted an Honor Cord system and members who participate in the events and activities can earn Honor Cords to wear at graduation.
The rules for TLC members to earn cords are:
• Total number of points necessary to receive a cord is 300
• Officers may earn 1 cord for serving as officer and one for membership/participation
• Non-officer Members may earn one cord.
• Opportunities for earning points and point status will be presented at the start of each semester.
• Changes and additions to point opportunities and values can only be made by agreement of 3 or more officers
• Anyone up for graduation who is short of points due to extenuating circumstances may petition the club, in writing, for a waiver of minimum points in order to receive cords for graduation.
• Waivers must be by majority vote of officers at an officer meeting.
For members to receive cords:
• Member must be in good academic standing with the university
• Must stay active in club in 2 financial report periods
• Points for Silver cord will be earned on participation/attendance basis
• Must participate in at least one event
• Members must attend at least 50 % of the meetings
For officers to receive cords:
• Member must be in good academic standing with the university
• Points for silver cord will be earned on a participation/attendance basis
• Must stay active in club in 2 financial report periods
• Gold cord will be earned by serving as active officer in 2 financial report periods
• Active officer is one who attends 50% of the meetings, 1 large event, and one small event, as well as carrying out the duties of their office responsibly.
All cords are priced at $5.00 per cord
