Campground Communications Plan Campground "Intercom"
LSCC members use FRS (Family Radio Service) radios to stay in touch during the campout.  This allows our members, whether Hams or not, to easily communicate.  We use FRS Channel 8 with no privacy code selected (Code=0).

Amateur Radio Simplex

For "local" communications, licensed radio amateurs use 147.55 MHz Simplex for communications.  This frequency is especially useful when rigs get near the campground and need directions or to stay in touch during short range excursions (into town, around the area, etc.).

Amateur Radio Repeaters

Licensed amateur radio operators use repeaters to communicate when nearing a campground, to notify others of their travel status and to talk with others in the campground area.  Here's a list of frequencies of repeaters monitored.  When more than one repeater is listed for a campground, the "Primary" repeater is monitored unless it is down.

Campground Repeater City Frequency, Offset, PL Tone, etc
Country Place RV, Cut and Shoot Conroe 147.02 MHz, +, No PL, Primary
Country Place RV, Cut and Shoot Cleveland 146.90 MHz, -, No PL

Cell Phones

Most of our members have cell phones.  A Roster is provided to members as a convenience in contacting each other.  Campers who cannot reach someone in the Club should attempt to contact the RV Campground to get word to an officer or another party on a campout.

This site is "under construction."  More info will be added regularly.
