The LSOHG sent a team of officers to pay tribute to our fallen brothers on September 12. Lt. Oran Duncan, Sgt. Ryan Beam, Cpl. Perry Mull, Cpl. Tatum Stallings, Deputies Mike Dean, Trena Lieck, Billie Vanier, GT Perez, Mary Veal, and Malcolm Chambliss were given the honor of attending the funerals of Cpls. Jones and Gardner. Lt. Oran Duncan, Sgt. Ryan Beam, Cpl. Dan Corbin, Cpl. Johnny Jaquess, Cpl. Cory Lucas, Cpl. Tatum Stallings, Deputies Kortney Garrett, Katherine Young, James Ham, and Billie Vanier will attend the funeral for Cpl. Marquez. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families and fellow officers. We all mourn the passing of these heroes.

On September 22 the LSOHG presented colors at the opening of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
On Friday September 8, the Odessa Police Department suffered a great loss. Corporals Arlie Jones and John Gardner were killed in the line of duty while responding to a domestic violence call. Corporal Abel Marquez was injured at the scene and succumb to his wounds on September 12.
On September 15 the LSOHG posted and retired the colors at the opening ceremony of the Fiesta del Llano celebration.
On September 14 the LSOHG raised the colors at the grand opening of the Whataburger at 82nd and Milwaukee.
On September 8 the LSOHG deployed a Color Guard detail to lead the Wolfforth Harvest Festival Parade.
On 19 July, The LSOHG Team deployed A Color Guard detail for the Learn Inc. GED Graduation Ceremony at Coronado H.S. in Lubbock.
On the Fourth of July, The Team deployed as part of the Lubbock's Broadway Festival's 4th of July Parade.
On 10 July, The team sent a detail to pay respect to the father of one of our own, Dep. Cindy Metsgar. Our sincerest condolences to Cindy.
On 1 July, The Team deployed the perform their famous "Old Glory" event for the congregation of our friends at Oakwood Baptist Church of Lubbock.
On 30 June, The Team deployed to assist with the funeral of former constable Arnold Clark. The team provided a casket guard, flag folding detail, and a firing party.
