Keeping a food journal It is important, for at least six weeks, to keep a food journal so you know what foods, before or after you eat the food, to see how it makes you feel if it gives you a headache/migraine or not. Everyone loves *junk* food, but after watching my diet and eating part *junk* food and part *normal* food for six weeks; I wrote down every symptom before and after I ate a meal.
