Poem, What it means to me to have a Skull Lesion by Becca E Lang What it means to me to have a Skull Lesion: 1.It means wondering how much the lesion might grow in between now and one year from now. 2.It means wondering if the lesion is starting to have effects on me that we do not know about and figure it might be something else? 3.It means knowing the lesion is sitting like a time bomb on my skull. 4.It is up to me to be faithful to God in order to preserve my sanity for the coming year while I have this time bomb on my skull. 5.It means just forgetting about it all, possibly, and enjoying life! But, alas, I cannot do that, I am a worrywart! It is in my nature. 6.I will continue to get lesions in the skull/brain as long as I live, I have a Syndrome called, “Cowden’s Syndrome” which, to sum it up, causes vascular tumors or lesions in certain areas of the body. It has chosen the brain for me and two of my three other sisters. Only the eldest sister does not have Cowden’s.
