Ms Texas Senior America 2008 Syntha West

Dr. Syntha West, Ms Texas Senior America 2008 received her Ph.D in counseling from Texas A & M University. She enjoys the gift of relating to people of all ages, and for over thirty years helped public school young people solve personal and family problems of all kinds. Following her thiry-six years in public school eduction, she was invited to join a private psychological counseling firm in Tyler, Texas where she spent one year in therapeutic pratice traveling to several East Texas counties. This experience led her to move into the public sector working with youth-at-risk and allowing her the freedom of going into homes using her own holistic philosophy of working with entire families in crisis servicing not only "the client," but also families in conflict and trauma as well. Her "glass half-full rather than half-empty" theme exemplifies her person-prson pattern of enormous energy expended in service to others. Dr. West is the author of "Today's Dreams, Tomorow's Realities."
