CITY OF ADDISON HONORED FAN BENNO-CARIS
On 06/13/06, the Cameo ladies swarmed into the Addison Council Meeting to honor their Queen Fan. Mayor Joe Chow, of Addison City Council, read the proclamation and claimed June 13th Fan Benno-Caris Day, then presented it to Fan. She also received a dozen red roses from John Dornheim and Mary Virginia sang “God Bless America”. Fan’s Granddaughter Kimberly Benno was there to honor her as well as her husband, John Caris , who video taped her special moment. Roger Mellow, a council member, is very proud of Fan for he is her cousin. The Cameo members present to honor Fan were: Beth Pirtle, Joyce King, Mary Virginia Tuinstra, Wanda Jones, Lauretta Jensen and John Dornheim.

Fan & the Cooper Research Center
Our Queen Fan received a letter of Congratulations on receiving her Proclamation from the notable Dr. Kenneth Cooper of Cooper Research Center. Dr. Cooper, who has a Saturday Radio Program coined the name "Aerobics". Fan has known Dr. Cooper for 30 years but this letter was a special surprise.

Fan had the honor of holding the Olympic Torch when it came came through Dallas, TX in 1991.
