PROJECTS DIVISION COORDINATOR ~ Michele Northrup

The Projects Division oversees the areas of Community Service, Patriotism, Safety and Security, Education and International. These projects allow our members to serve the community and put the Pilot name in the public eye so they may know what we accomplish. We contribute to all ages, from a preschool BrainMinders™ programs to Adopt a Resident at a local assisted living home. We try to educate others in the prevention of brain related disorders as well as assist those presently effected. The projects occur throughout the year and most are ongoing. Each one of the projects helps to build lasting friendships within our club and enable all of us to make a difference in someone's life.

COMMUNITY SERVICE AREA LEADER ~ Janice Hudman

We have several things planned for this year. Currently, a contribution was made to B.A.S.S. (softball program for senior citizens). Also, there will be a Halloween party for the occupants of Remington Park Level 3.
PATRIOTISM AREA LEADER ~ Amy Batton

We have a great honor as Americans to be able to show our patriotism. There are several ways that you can accomplish this:

  • Fly a flag
  • Vote
  • Veteran's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • 4th of July
  • See You at the Pole
  • Lowering of the Flag in memory of

  • Besides the items listed above, our club will also be sponsoring an essay contest on "What America Means to Me" in a local school, along with adopting a Baytown service person. There are patriotic topics given at each business meeting and a program will be presented during the year.

Find a way to plug into your heart's patriotism. As individuals, families, communities, it is our responsibility to demonstrate our loyalty, faithfulness, and support by participating in at least one of the above. To what level you decide to reach, is your option. I hope that no one will ever doubt your commitment to your country. And,

    GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

SAFETY & SECURITY AREA LEADER ~ Diane Hughes-Gilbert

Our purpose in the Safety and Security area is to promote awareness of related topics all year in Baytown, TX. We also have special on going projects in which we participate. We contribute to the Dare program, Lotta Hope Retreat, which is a Diabetic camp. We have a safety award for a GCCISD bus driver for driver safety. We contribute to Project Graduation at both local high schools. Our program also includes BrainMinders, which has been a resounding success in all the schools we have made the presentation. We obtain some of our information from the local American Red Cross, the office of Disaster Management for the City of Baytown.
