Welcome to our website...

We are the Red Haute Divas, officially recognized by the Red Hat Society (www.redhatsociety.com) as Chapter #50036 in Sugar Land, Texas. We have recently celebrated our 7th anniversary at the beautiful Post Oak Grill in Sugar Land.

We are a diverse group of ladies, ranging in age from the 50's to the 80's, who dress up in red hats and purple attire to step out regularly to have fun together. Yes, our red hats and purple outfits cost a few dollars, but our invigorated lives? - priceless!

We not only celebrate the fellowship of each other during a monthly luncheon and activity, but we frequently join other Red Hat chapters and state conventions for still more fun. Our philosophy? you ask. We believe that it is not how old we are that matters, but rather how we are old.

We currently have 24 active members in our chapter. We are not accepting new members at this time. However, in the future, we may invite additional ladies into our group. There exists a waiting list of women who are eager to register with the Red Hat Society and be invited into a local chapter such as the Red Haute Divas.

We are proud to sponsor a favorite charity; it is the Cinderella/Cinderfella Project. Eva Fackeldey is the founder & CEO of CCP. Contributing to Eva's not-for-profit organization with its 3-fold mission is one of the better things we divas do.

The club retains a 'bereavement' fund (each diva having contributed $10). This fund is mangaed by an appointed Purple Purse Holder who gives club members an annual report at the January anniversary gathering. Drawings from this fund occur when a spouse or child of a diva dies and/or upon the sad misfortune of a diva's terminal illness or death. It can also be drawn from in the case of a diva's extraordinary misfortune.

If a person wants to learn more about the Red Hat Society or is interested in becoming a member, she may be invited to attend a 'diva' function as a member's guest. She needs to wear the signature red and purple attire when doing so, however. Also, the member who is bringing her should notify the queen and the hostess of the month that a guest will be present.

We proudly state that our entire Red Haute Divas group is officially recognized by the Red Hat Society (RHS), each member having paid their yearly dues to belong to this esteemed international organization, where fun, friendship, freedom, fulfillment & fitness are the name of the game.
