What is PTA?
PTA comprises nearly 6 million parents and other concerned adults devoted to the educational success of children and the promotion of parental involvement in schools.
PTA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that prides itself on being a powerful advocate for ALL children, a relevant source for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education. Membership in PTA is open to anyone who is concerned with the education, health, and welfare of children and youth.
Reuben Johnson PTA is honored and proud to be part of such a great organization!

PTA Mission
PTA is
  • A powerful voice for all children,
  • A relevant resource for families and communities, and
  • A strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.

PTA Vision
Making every child's potential a reality.

RJE PTA Goals
The Reuben Johnson PTA is dedicated to supporting our students, their families, and our community.
We are committed to furthering the goals of the PTA here on a local level.

Who Benefits from PTA?
EVERYONE! Reuben Johnson PTA advocates for ALL RJE students. Not just children of members and volunteers. Every RJE student reaps the tremendous benefits of PTA.

I don't have time to volunteer, should I still join?
YES! Joining the Reuben Johnson PTA will not commit you to long hours of volunteering.
Joining PTA is simply a statement that you support what the PTA does here at RJE on behalf of the students.

What exactly does the RJE PTA do?
Visit the pages of this website to see the dozens of programs that PTA is proud to sponsor this year.
The Reuben Johnson PTA also purchases gifts for Reuben Johnson Elementary. Some of our most recent contributions are:
  • Die cut machine
  • The canopy over the playground
  • Tetherball poles on the playground
  • The RJE Mascot, Jagger
  • Murals in the library
  • Workroom and teacher's lounge make over: fresh paint, children's nook, TV, changing station for babies, photo art, and new workroom supplies.
  • The annual RJE yearbook
  • Bag of playground balls for each grade
  • Supplies for the glass art program for all the grades
  • Student T-shirts for the annual Walkathon for every grade

Some of our future goals include a Gaga Ball Pit, benches for the outside of the school, new mud mats for the main enterences to the school, a digital marquee, and much more. There are many different positions on the RJE PTA Board, each serving a vital role. Here is a list of the job descriptions for each position:
